  • Geert - December 10th, 2008 at 11:07 pm

Wow. Surprised to see some names in there and some absent. Surprised by your taste in music Mark. Doubt you read the comments but these are some pretty underground/under the radar albums that I’m pretty sure most of you would dig:

Cynic – Traced in Air (technical progmetal with death influences)
Mirrorthrone – Gangrene (melodic black with neoclassical influences)
Scar Symmetry – Holographic Universe (melo death)
Textures – Silhouettes (polyrhythmic metal madness)
The Faceless – Planetary Duality (pretty unique sounding death)

There’s a US tour coming up with Meshuggah, Cynic and The Faceless. If you can go, fucking take the chance!

  • Jim Lamarca - December 11th, 2008 at 12:37 am

  • spooner - December 11th, 2008 at 10:19 am

no votes for the new haunted album, are you guys got bits of your brains missing?

  • GGG - December 11th, 2008 at 10:37 am

Slipknot, The Game? What the hell? That means you don’t like your own music because it’s totaly different from The Game or some others.

  • Anonymous - December 11th, 2008 at 11:53 am

    ggg you are an idiot
i think it totally makes sense that guys in chimaira listen to diverse music.
    that’s what makes them unique.

  • Michael - December 11th, 2008 at 4:22 pm

So glad that death magnetic is in there, such a fucking good album!!!

  • Jimmie - December 12th, 2008 at 5:13 pm

  • Grayson - December 16th, 2008 at 9:18 pm

Awsome list but its sad, Ur a fucking metal band n u’ve got that rap shit on there. wtf man?

  • spicuzza - December 17th, 2008 at 4:47 am

it’s sad you’re so closed minded.

  • don't touch my spandex motherfucker - December 17th, 2008 at 5:43 pm

I don’t think it’s about being closed minded. There is good and bad shit out there. And Kanye West? Fuck man, he’s a a bad singer, not to mention a fucking douche. I see only a few bands that I like, and a whole bunch that are crap. Thankfully these awful bands don’t seem to influence your music that much, otherwise you guys would sound terrible. But then again, music is subjective. Go finish the record already, so we can give you our hard earned money!

  • Tyler durden of fight club - December 17th, 2008 at 11:38 pm

lil wayne and kanye west make me want to listen to chimaira. is all makes sense! Thats how he’s doing this! Mark listens to crappy music all day and that gets him really pissed off. Mark you are a genius. Hey I got some inspiration for the new cd… check out Jay-z, puff daddy, and the insane clown posse

  • IV - December 21st, 2008 at 2:49 am
