I know there are some rumors going around that we’ve canceled our Russian, Ukraine and Belarus dates. Part of that is true.
There is a family related health issue that needs to be handled and requires an extra few days home in Cleveland. If this could have been avoided, it would have, but when it comes to health, there is no way to predict this. Please respect the fact that our private lives, especially concerning health, are nobodies business. This is not some vague excuse to not show up to work.
I know a lot of you will be upset that the shows will not happen next week, however, we have already rescheduled them for early next year!
There is no way in hell we want to miss the opportunity to play for our fans in that part of the world. We have wanted to come over there for a long time and are extremely upset we can’t make it next week.
A lot of bands will promise that they will make it up and never do; we are not one of those bands. Here are the new dates:
March 26, 2010 – St. Petersburg – Gavclub
March 27, 2010 – Moscow – XO
March 28, 2010 – Minsk – Rclub
March 29, 2010 – Kiev – TBA
Please accept our deepest apology and HOLD ON TO YOUR TICKETS because they will be valid.
For now, the rest of our European dates WILL NOT be affected.
Once again, please accept our apology and we will see you early next year.

Yes, we understand everything and we all hope that everything will be alright.
But…6 months…6 fu**ing months.
The last 2 weeks I was thinking only about your concert, I was counting days. It was just like a freakin’ dream-come-true.
I’ts just so god-damn hard to wait for such a long time. A half of a fu**ing year=(
Well that certainly blows…… on that note, I do recall you guys having to cancel a show during the Ressurection run in Johnson City, NY with Gwar. Apparently their bus broke down or something. Anyway the show was never made up or rescheduled. I’m in no means trying to call you guys out and be like HA! your wrong, just thought I would throw that out there though, cause I kinda wanted to go, lol! Hopefully all is well and start planning that headlining U.S. tour!!!!!!
I hope that everything will be fine with your relatives, Mark!! We are all with you.
Thx for your apology & I really hope that I”ll see your band on March 28, 2010 – Minsk – Rclub!!!!
Thx for your music, Chimaira!!!!
=( Didn’t expected… Well as did’nt bought the ticket yet… i can spent them on some merch ^^ Your fans from R.Moldova wishes you the best, so get healthy and we’re goona be in Kiev next year !!! (al least me)
So Chimaira will be back in europe for these dates from the 26th, Trivium touring UK 5th to 24th? Coincidence? Do that tour boys, need to see Chimaira again.
Thought I would throw a suggestion out there for the merch store…. Where is the underwear???? Great idea…. Spread-The-Infection right across a pair of underwear. I mean I’m sure health teachers and doctor’s wouldn’t recommend wearing them, but I think it’s a pretty sweet idea. Or you could just get a pair of Jim’s underwear and put it on there. All seriousness though, thought it was a pretty funny idea to let you guys know about. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought of it but oh well.
Such as when you rescheduled the cancelled eastpak tour across Europe in 2007?
Or the cancelled Dundee, Scotland date in 2003.
On the current “European” tour, there is only one UK date, and its in London, one of the most Southernly parts of the Isle and a good few hundred miles from where I live. I assume im not alone in saying that I’ve been at EVERY Scottish show the band have ever played, have hung about in car parks in the rain to meet the band on more than one occassion, shelled out the near £100 for the fan edition infection, and now we don’t get any dates, never mind rescheduling missed ones.
Bollocks.
It is sad to hear about the family health issues, but its fairly annoying to read things like “A lot of bands will promise that they will make it up and never do; we are not one of those bands.” when in the past, the same things have been promised and never delivered.
ha-ha, told you.
