Favorites are Coming Alive, The Disappearing Sun, Impending Doom, Destroy and Dominate, and Try To Survive. Eagerly awaiting The Heart of it All because I’m such a huge fan of songs like Implements of Destruction and Six. Let’s just put it this way, Six is my favorite song of all time and I’m not even trying to suck your guys bawls at all, it’s so perfect in so many ways.

Ok, this is hilarious, I’m on my second listen and now all the other songs are awesome too! They just didn’t sink in the first time, god this whole album RULES!

Pretty good album, I’ll have to listen to it a few more times to develop a real review though. Last song destroys.

I think we’d all agree that it’s time for MySpace to get with the times and upgrade their sound quality (ditch the outdated 96kbps MP3 format for 160kbps AAC format, it’d make an awesome difference). That way, people will be less inclined to download the leak, as they could hear a high quality version by simply streaming it from MySpace (no need to wait on a slow download if it’s available by click). It’s a step forward that MySpace really needs to take. It might even bring them more ad money.

if they upgrade the sound quality, that will only make US want to download the songs even more. most people want the mp3s to put in their ipod, cd player, and whatever else they have… its like tempting a pedophile with 3 small boys in a dark alley- something is bound to happen. and don’t tell me that you cant convert ACC to mp3. i’ve done it many a time.

and yes, it’s already playing in my car. but i didn’t get it from myspace. i found the torrent at 2 this morning (don’t worry chimaira, i will still be buying the album).

maybe i’m revealing some secret that no one wants out. nobody’s stupid. that’s why all myspace songs are 96kbps. they dont want people to rip off the bands. but we all do it. WE ALL DO IT. even No OnE. he probably wont admit it though. but that would be killer if i had an easier way to get high quality free music

Audio format conversions are the easiest things in the world. You could teach a dog to do it. That’s not the reason I suggested it though, I only suggested it because AAC’s quality kicks the crap out of MP3 at the same bitrate, and it’s already used everywhere for streaming. Anybody who’s ever played around with formats would know that.

Why would you think that high quality myspace music would make people want to download torrents more? That’s exactly the opposite of what it would do. If myspace has a shitty quality version of the album, people will cringe and go looking for downloads. If it has higher quality sound, people will be more inclined to just stream it and not waste their time downloading. Yes, there are people who want to listen to it at places other than their computer/room, but they can’t be helped, and they will download torrents anyway. It’s easier just to make the non-illegal option look more appealing.

yeah ok… I listened the entire album ( dunno how much but a lot ) and I can not tell that the infection is bad, all of the songs are kickass but I was waiting for so long this album… I’ve heard and one of the first wondering was : ” WTF ?!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE THE SOLOS ???????!!!!!! ” wasn’t ready to hear the new chimaira whithout a fuckin’good rob’s solo.
so, in this way and in this way only i feel disappointed, and it won’t be the best Chimairafor me. It’s absolultely not the same music, but I feel as I felt w/ St Anger, except that we were advised for this one
However, I bought the deluxe edition and I don’t have any regrets, it’s a fuckin kickass album !!!

i agree revenge is a kickass track all their songs pretty much since impossibility of reason to the infection i can direct them towerds my ex gf and it makes me feel alot better everytime i listen to them. Chimaira will ALWAYS destroy and dominate

yeah i wouldnt be surprised if their songs helped alot of guys out there deal with relationship issues and such, theyre inspirational and an amazing talented band.
