Dear Diary
Things are going well here at the ol’ studio. Today I finished working on the fifth of fourteen songs we’re recording, and Matt is working on number six right now. My opinion on how things are sounding is….”HUGE”. You really never fully understand how technically demanding a riff is until you try to lay it down for good. A lot of this stuff is hard man- but totally catchy at the same time. I think it was Mr. Eddie Van Halen who once said, “Man I wish we could tour first, and then record the record”! And thats because after you’ve been on the road month after month, playing the songs over and over again, you’re always much better at them individually, and as a band, then you are when you record them. But oh well… we’re trying our best here, and I think everyone is going to appreciate it come April.

I have to agree with David here…yeah, its tough for a band to write a record and get it perfect on the first take, it never happens. but when a band has die-hard fans like y’all have around the world you tell us your working on a kick ass album and its gonna be better than before, we get so stoked and anticipate the release date for it and over the months of recording and watching webisodes hoping for a sneak peak on it makes us want it more and more.

About the mythbusters link, they did that episode a couple of years ago. I remember sitting there with my woman watching that and even she (non metal fan) recognized Chimaira (from concerts) was playing in one of the grow rooms. Yeah, Chimaira grows the best

I know this album will be awesome. I used to live in Phoenix, AZ and I saw you guys twice over there and you fucking killed. I love bands like Suffocation and Carcass, which I’ve seen like 3 times and 1 time respectively recently, but man, I’ve never had so much fun like a Chimaira show. I now live in Vancouver, BC so I hope you guys make it to cold fucking Canada next year. All the best.
Thank you chimaira. I havent stopped listening to your last cd since it was released. The only band that could possibly come close to making a better album than Chimaira is Chimaira.
