We are proud to announce the addition of Matt Szlachta and Jeremy Creamer to Chimaira.
The plan was to build an undeniable string section and we have done just that.
Jeremy will be pounding on the bass, and Matt shredding alongside Emil on guitar.
As a way to say hello to the Chimaira fans, Jeremy recently remixed a couple of tracks from The Age Of Hell.

While I’m happy for Mark to keep making music, I gotta say that Chimaira without Rob is not the same, he pretty much made that sound that made Chimaira stand out from other bands. If it was me I’d probably start a whole new band. I’m not excited in the slightest, maybe because I always thought Daath sucked balls, but I wish these guys all the best.

Well,fuck Chimaira…Chimaira Is not Chimaira with all the other dudes.Chimaira was: Rob,Matt,Andols,Jim and Chris.Mark just tore this fucking band apart…fuck him,fuck the new line-up and Fuck all you assholes who think the new line-up is awesome….just Put the beast out of its misery.You are Mark Hunter,Not Axl Rose >:(

Chimaira is good that goes on, Mark Hunter is a great singer ……new players + mark on the concert it will be Wilderness in 2012 it will not end the world it will be a year Chimaira.

COME ON “CHIMAIRAISDEAD” SAYERS! I was really sad when the old chimaira destroyed (and dominated) but think about it again… The same happens with Iced Earth, Megadeth… BUT THEY STILL KICK ASSES… I think the same will happen and with Chimaira… Well.. In Matt’s position a new Matt? Haha good, welcome guys… Hope make Chimaira regain the strength they had…

The music of Chimaira has done alot for me, and thanks to Rob arnold my guitar playing is better than ever. Words can never describe what this band means to me. And yes losing most of the original members has been upsetting but if any of u know shit then u would know that Mark has been there from the very beginning even before rob and matt and he writes more then just lyrics so shut the fuck up if u don’t like what’s going on im at least happy they r still a band and no Mark is not axl so shut ur mouths with that shit and yes he is one of the best singers metal has to offer today!

I’m gonna say this one more time Mark Hunter is responsible for more then just the lyrical sound of chimaira he also wrote down again and power trip just to name a couple Rob and Matt will b greatly missed as well as jim, chris and andols but for fucks sake if u were ever a fan give more respect then some of ur punk asses r showing!

@Ha seriously,dude?Fuck you,and Fuck Chimaira.It’s dead before you,just accept the end of Chimaira.Looking at the photo way at the top doesn’t seem the same anymore.To me,Matt and Rob aren’t in the picture anymore.Thats just that.Change the fucking name at least,these new members don’t deserve to be called Chimaira.

MATT FUCKIN CHAPEL (Matt Szlachta) is fuckin AMAZING on guitar.
Totally awesome to hang out with and just an all around great guy! I hate that hes not with DirgeWithin now but people gotta do what they gotta do. Im happy to see him moving on to bigger and better things. :] I think Chimaira is going to be awesome, it doesnt matter who they have. Cant wait to see Matt and the guys on stage!!!

Chimaira will forever be my favorite band, of all genres. It’s like they penned my life story when writing the lyrics. Mark is the man. Period. He’s a real great guy. Impressive that he chats with the fans after the concerts. He let my 11 year old son on the stage for pics with him. Mad respect for Mark, and mad respect for fellow fans who aren’t bandwagon jumpers and stay true through thick and thin. The rest can lick sweaty balls!

Y’all need to just calm the fuck down. Seriously. Do you remember back when Mark gave the reason why Chimaira was named that? Because it is a MULTI-HEADED BEAST. Its not centered around one sound, like you moronic blow-hards think it is. Its a fusion of different sounds, ranging from Mark, to The Greenies, to Rob, to Matt [the newb, not the old one.]
Yes, I’m sad to see they left. But I’m not going to let it take my love for metal. Just because someone leaves a band, and gods for-fucking-bid that, doesn’t mean that band has ‘died’ it just means they have to change and regrow their limbs. Now shut the fuck up so i can listen to the remixes before your whiny asses take my mood even further to the grindstone x)

Chimaira is like The Thing. It’s memorable. It’s brutal. You can never tell what form it’s going to take on the next album, but it always retains its own identity while integrating outside influences. Even when you think it’s all dead, there’s still a part that remains and given time, it will rise up and kick your ass. Past members are like the “Norris-spider.” Having their own strengths and goals, they’ve split off, sprouting sonic appendages and skittering away to infiltrate other bands and make them as epic as Chimaira, while creating new and dangerous projects that will tear you open and devour you. The original multi-headed beast extends its tentacles and absorbs new members into its fold. Chimaira allows those new members to bleed their own imprint into the band’s sound, instead of spitting out or dissolving that which makes them unique.

I got their logo tattooed on my arm and it looks badd as fuck!!! And I own the Rob Arnold signature guitar and i’ll wear that tattoo proud until the grave and I fucking love that guitar and i’ll continue to develop my own style as well as play Chimaira songs old new and future fuckin ‘a’!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i can tell these guitar players are 10X better than matt and rob put together so im not concerned. They can tear shit up beyond belief but idk if i would call this new setup chimaira, mark is the only original left.

I am a huge chimaira fan in my own right. And I can see the new guys have an undeniable talent between them and I can seriously give them alot of credit for that definitely. But the new lineup is not the same as rob, matt, chris, andols and jim. Those guys are chimaira alongside mark. I know chimaira is a kick ass band surely but replacing those elements is just not the same. Their basically trying to replace and continue a band already established and try and continue on as that band when it was the original members were that band. Never the less I respect their pursuits and I respect them for their contributions. it won’t be the same without the original guys but lets hope they don’t turn into a bunch of pansies like metallica turned out to be when rob trujillo joined them and stomped on stage like a fuckin baboon with his bass up his ass. PLEASE DO NOT SELL OUT LIKE THOSE GUYS CHIMAIRA!!!!!!
